Reporting Procedures for Injured Postal Workers

  1. It is usually advisable to let your immediate supervisor know of your injuries on the day that you are injured. This will help them arrange the right medical care so that you are stabilized.
  2. Informing them will also give them an opportunity to get the ball rolling by providing you with a form CA-1 or form CA-2

  4. We will then make sure that the form is filled in by the supervisor and sent over to the control office in a timely manner.

  7. Once your forms are forwarded to the control office, they will be checked for completeness and accuracy before being handed over to OWCP.
  8. Please note that the control office must submit your forms to OWCP within 10 days of receiving them from you.
